After a couple of false starts the Former Water Tower Site at Aylesbeare, which was a local landmark close to an AONB (Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty) has now been sold for the full asking price of £75,000. The site had attracted a significant amount of interest, it having planning consent for a business unit which was won at a planning appeal. The new owners intend to build the unit out and to occupy it as part of their business. The water tower was demolished by the current owners and the site was fenced with mains services on site.
