14 acre Industrial site in Melksham, Wiltshire sold

Pepper Commercial have sold a 14 acre industrial site off an asking price of £5 million (£360,000 per acre) The property comprised 8 former RAF hangers on 2 separate sites. The internal accommodation extended to some 200,000 sq.ft. and was until recently used as a tyre storage depot for Cooper Tires, who also manufacture in the town. The area has seen some recent development including Herman Miller who built 170,000 sq.ft. facility next door and Dick Lovett who have also built a new Jaguar Land Rover car sales and service facility just off of the adjoining link road.

The site has been sold to a local property investor who plans to refurbish and let out the accommodation to storage and industrial users. The individual hangers comprise 25,000 sq.ft. each and once formed part of a technical training college that is now the Bowerhill Industrial Estate.
